{February 8, 2010}   Where Has It Gone?

Verse 1
Watching from the outside
All the people forced in
We’re watching from the outside
For the Lord to let us in.

Pre-Chorus
All the lost that are wandering endlessly
Looking for what they don’t yet know

Chorus
Guide us to show them
What we are living for
The love we’ve come to realise
A love that won’t let go

Guide us to show them
The love they cannot find
Oh Lord, help us find out
Where has it gone?

Verse 2
Watching from the outside
All the people left broke
We’re watching from the outside
For the Lord to let us in

Verse 3
Watching from the outside
All the people grown cold
We’re watching from the outside
For the Lord to let us in.

{February 8, 2010}   Love So Great

I come from a place, without violence and strife
No struggles to be had, a fairly easy life
Yet something was missing that I could not name
So I opened the door and through it he came.

A love so great, we could never ignore.
A love everlasting, we could never want more.

I’ve travelled the world, seen death everywhere
The fear and the sorrow, heard that life isn’t fear
But I know there’s a justice so perfect and right
So I spread his word, for him do I fight.

For this love so great, we could never ignore.
With a justice so prefect, we could never want more.

I’ve been beaten and broken by the hate in this world
Been hurt and mistreated by the young and the old
But I know that I have chosen the right side
So I wait and I pray to see him glorified.

For this love so great, we could never ignore.
Nought but love and kindness, who could ever want more.

I was lost in the mire, could not see through the fog
Till I fell on knees and I prayed unto God
He saved me from sin through supreme sacrifice
So I honour his name, I’ve surrendered my life.

For this love so great, we could never ignore.
Victory over death, we could never want more.

So let him pour out his love right into your heart
His grace and his mercy, the light in the dark
Take hold of his hand, let him guide you through
Our gentle and kind redeemer.

With a love so great, we could never ignore
A light ever lasting
A love so amazing
A God I’ll die praising
I will never want more.

{February 8, 2010}   First I Will Seek With My Heart

I was walking though life without a care in the world
My eyes were closed to the pain
Safe in the arms of those that I love
Each day after day was the same.

So I’ll search for this light in the mire and fog
I’ll look for his love in the dark
I’ll stand firm in the face of my fear and doubt
But first I will seek with my heart

But it took just one moment to shatter this cage,
My bubble was broken with a crash
I was beaten and broken, afraid and alone
I couldn’t see light for the dark.

So I’ll search for this light in the mire and fog
I’ll look for his love in the dark
I’ll stand firm in the face of my fear and doubt
But first I will seek with my heart

To my rescue he came without questions or hate
He looked to my soul through my eyes
He healed what was broken, restored me from pain
Gave me the truth to the lies

So I’ll search for this light in the mire and fog
I’ll look for his love in the dark
I’ll stand firm in the face of my fear and doubt
But first I will seek with my heart
